Senior Public Relations Officer, Qatar Academy Msheireb (QA Msheireb), a member of Qatar Foundation (QF), speaks about how he enjoys connecting and interacting with people, and how this passion and his work go hand-in-hand.
What are your job responsibilities?

I have been privileged to be associated with QA Msheireb since its launch; my job gives me many opportunities to interact with people from different parts of the world, giving me a constant sense of fulfillment as we share commonalities and experiences.

My office plays a significant role in promoting our school’s commitment to education and serving the community, by engaging diligently in marketing campaigns through various media, during the school year. In addition, there is planning and organizing of several events held by the Academy and Pre-University. My office regularly engages with local English and Arabic newspapers, national TV stations, QF Radio, and QF Telegraph to publish articles and air coverage/programs about the positive work being accomplished within our school.

How does your background help you at work?

Being born and raised here in Qatar, along with my higher education in the United States, I believe my background is perfectly suited for the challenges I face. For example, the ability to fluently speak both Arabic and English, and understand the local cultural beliefs, helps me better serve the needs of the QA Msheireb community.

What does working for QF mean to you?

I feel honored to be working for an esteemed organization like QF. It has allowed me to grow professionally, and meet people from around the world. It has also given me the opportunity to help spread its mission and vision through the lens of the Academy and Pre-University Education. Its goal of unlocking human potential is achieved on a daily basis within the academy, as we provide and guide students to continue growing and become leaders of tomorrow.

What is your favorite pastime?

I particularly love outdoor activities. Living in Qatar has allowed me to enjoy fun activities such as fishing and camping. I also love traveling with my family and friends as much as possible.

How would you describe yourself?

I am a caring and down-to-earth person. I enjoy helping others, and love to have a good laugh.

What are your professional goals?

To see this academy flourish into the greatest dual-language model school for the international community.

What about your personal goals?

Being a father, my personal goal is to provide my children with the best life possible.
This starts with giving them a solid education, and guiding them through the challenges they face. I know if I put my heart into them, they will grow to have a successful future.
